How to delete your account

  1. Open the Cardonaut app.
  2. Go to Settings → Privacy.
  3. Scroll down to the “Account deletion” section.
  4. Tap “Delete my account”.
  5. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.

Your account and personal data will then be immediately anonymized and scheduled for full deletion within 90 days.

Alternative: by email

If you cannot access the app, send a request to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days in accordance with the GDPR.

Data that is deleted

  • User profile (username, email, picture, preferences)
  • Card collection (copies, binders, decks, wishlist)
  • Scan history and scans performed
  • Quests, XP, badges, achievements
  • Sessions and authentication tokens
  • Push notifications and device tokens

Data retained (legal obligations)

In accordance with the French Commercial Code and the GDPR, some data may be retained even after account deletion:

  • Invoices and order history: 10 years (article L.123-22 of the French Commercial Code)
  • Security audit logs: 30 days (automatic TTL)
  • Anti-fraud and abuse logs: up to 12 months for prevention purposes
  • Accounting records: 10 years

All retained data is dissociated from your identity (pseudonymized) and used solely for legal compliance purposes.

Processing timeline

  • Anonymization: immediate upon request
  • Personal data purge: within 90 days
  • Accounting retention: 10 years (pseudonymized data)
